“Z Men” is unexplained in commentary on the British film Down Among the Z Men. This film was made months after the Korean War began, when the UK goverment called up for military training WW2 veterans discharged years earlier to the Class Z Reserve. In other words, when the film was made, “Z Men” were much in the news, and film sequences include the arrival for army training of a group of Z Men.
